These terms cover this website and the early-access list. Using the Ambient apps will come with its own terms, which you'll see before you start.

Who we are

This website is run by Nikolai Madlener, a sole proprietorship (Einzelunternehmen) in Austria, ("we"). You can reach us at nikolai@madlener.io.

What this site is

It describes Ambient, a product in early access. Features, prices and plans (such as open source) describe what we're building and may change. Nothing on this site is an offer to enter a contract.

The early-access list

Joining is free and doesn't commit you or us to anything. We let teams in one at a time and can't promise a spot or a date. You can leave the list at any time. How we handle your email address is in the privacy policy.

Using the site

Please don't attack or overload the site, try to get around its security, or sign anyone up without their permission.

Content and names

The texts, design, the Ambient name and its logo are ours. Other companies' names and logos (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Zoom) belong to them; we show them to say which tools Ambient works with, not to suggest they endorse us. The product images are illustrations, not screenshots.

Liability

The site and the list are free. We're liable for intent and gross negligence, and without limit for injury to life, body or health. Beyond that, we're liable only as far as the law requires. Links to other websites are for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.

Law

Austrian law applies. If you're a consumer, the protections of the law of the country where you live still apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
